ชื่อย่อโรงเรียนแสนเก๋ในภาษาอังกฤษมีคำว่า acronym (แอ๊ค-โคร-นิม) ซึ่งหมายถึงเวลาเราเอาตัวอักษรตัวแรกของแต่ละคำมาเรียงต่อกัน อาจจะอ่านเป็นตัวอักษรทีละตัว เช่น CEO (chief executive officer) FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) หรือตัวอักษรเปล่านั้นเมื่อนำมาเรียงกันแล้วอาจจะอ่านเป็นคำได้เช่น AIDS หรือ ค.ว.ย. เป็นต้น
